Book the date of Sunday 14 September, from 1-7pm to enjoy the third annual feast of Jewish music, song and dance in front of Nelson’s Column. Melodies from Bessarabia to Britain and from the Balkans to the Bronx will be represented in a non-stop extravaganza with superb professional and community artists on the stage and screen – while Jewish exhibitions, arts and artefacts will be on show and for sale in stalls around the square.
Hear children in song under the charismatic direction Stephen Glass, a bissele Yiddish with Laoise Davidson – including Gilbert and Sullivan like you have never heard before. Dance to great klezmer and Sephardi bands and check out the new kids on the block.
'Simcha on the Square' provides an opportunity for Londoners of all backgrounds to experience and celebrate traditional and contemporary British Jewish culture.
